So turns out Im not very good at keeping this up to date. I swear life just goes faster and faster! We had a fun Christmas time. My Little Brother got married, Bretts Family (mom,dad, sister her husband and cute little boy) came out to stay for Christmas. and New Years was fun with just our little family. And are starting to get the babys room all ready for her to come in about 10 weeks! so heres some pictures of the past couple months in no particular order, cause thats just how I roll.

Before Bretts Family came out my baby brother got married to a beautiful girl named Laura! Her dress was beautiful, I wish I would have taken more pictures that day. Im so glad I was able to go and am excited to get to know her better. They are a perfect match- super cute!

We tried to have the kids dress up for the nativity story Christmas Eve... this was the best shot I got (Monroe-Mary cousin Cohen- Joseph or a shephard)

Santa brought the girls a hair styler set- Monroe loved aunt Megan fixin her up!

GIRL!!!! And Im so excited and thankful for the new baby to come : ) Alot of people Ive told act as if I should be dissapionted about another girl but im honestly not in the least. Im really grateful that we get another kid and just as thankful shes a girl. That dosn't mean I wouldn't ever want a boy it just means Im not having kids to have 2 boys and 2 girls. I love being a mom. So below are some pictures of 2 things Im very thankful for. Plus I dont have to change the pink nursery : )

My babys in kindergarten! I cant believe it! We just dropped her off and I know im just gonna be waiting to pick her up to see how it went. She was all nervous and shy until she saw someone from her pre-school class in her class and then she was excited. I know shes gonna do great and has a great teacher. I just cant belive its already begun! my baby is growing up! as we walked away Monroe said "I miss Berkley" and I do to! shes the life of the party for sure. I know we'll soon get use to having her gone and it wont seem like anything but today it does. Brett came with us to school which was good. Maybe I'll just post some pcitures instead of rambly about how much I miss her when its only been a half an hour- shes just so young!

Place of refuge; this place was a place people could escape when they had broken a law back in the day. they had crazy laws like womeon couldn't prepare the mens food, or if you walked on royaltys shadow youd be killed, so theres this place for them to go to make it right basically. Anyway heres Bretts mom trying out a costume !

Also Place of refuge. At this rock one of the kings wives( his favorite wife) had runaway and hid behind this rock after a fight they had had. When he came looking for her, her dog barked and gave her away so the king found her and they madeup and she went back with him. so we tried to recreate that for ya!

Boat ride out to go night snorkeling with the Manta rays. crazy! it was really amazing. to bad I dont have a water camera! The divers were on the bottom of the ocean shinning bright lights up to attract plankton and we were on the top of the water chinning flashlights down and the Mantas would swim and flip in right by us- way cool

it says caution falling coconuts- just a cool beach we went to one day : )

Berkley Graduated Preschool! she had such a fun time with Miss Kim and Miss Jodi this year! and her little friends

We had a busy Memorial Day weekend that started at stone henge(a war monument) and ended up with was getting a mini van! woot woot. In between we went to 2 cheese factories in Tillamook (I know you thought there was only the one but you were wrong). Then we went to a lighthouse, Goonies Beach with the 3 rocks, a waterfall, then Astoria for the Goonies house Goonies Jail a giant column and some loud Sea Lions. It was fun to have a little family vacay. Im so glad to have a bigger car now and the kids love it too! I think we're still trying to convince Brett how awesome it is, anyway heres some pics : )

Happy Spring!

I love being outside! and we've been doing alot of that lately. Ive had to start remembering my allergy medicine but I dont mind cause its so pretty out. I fixed up our flower bed in the front yard a few weeks back and yesterday we planted veggies in our veggie boxes. That was fun but super messy doing with the kids. I wish I would have taken a picture, Monroe had dirt all over her face and arms. they definately had to take a shower ofter that! Im excited to get our enormous watermelon and pumpkins planted still. and I cant wait for the basil and cilantro to grow : ) what you growing?

For a reason Im not sure of Monroe calls Minnie and Mickey Missy Mouse. she can say Minnie but prefers Missy. Anyway we had a Minnie Mouse cake for her Birthday, balloons and a few friends. that afternoon we went to Chuck E Cheese where a kid can be a kid if its no too crowded. Which is was but it was still fun. And the pizza was actually pretty darn good : )

Some things about Monroe

She sleeps in a Big girl bed now, and shares a room now with Berkley which usually means they share a bed cause they're buddies : )

Favorite Monroe phrases -I come wis you (I'll come with you- often repeated after I bring them to the play room and want to go get some things done)

-I sit wis you (I'll sit with you- mainly at meal time when she wants to sit on my lap after prayer, shes kind of my shadow)

-I go to DISNEYLAND! she says it in a sing song sort of way usually first thing in the morning

-whats that sound mom? whenever she hears anything in the distance, plane, motorcycle garbage truck

- I sit in Berkies seat!@ (everytime we go to the car she loves to take berks carseat)

- I do it by myself ( totally 2! says this one alot)

Shes a good helper loves to help put dishes away and put plates on table

We got to go to Disneyland last week for a few days. It was a quick trip but alot of fun! The girls have been talking about going back since we got home. We found a place where we got a good deal on hopper passes so we got to see califonia adventure which was neat. They have a cool Alladdin play thats worth going over there for. also the tower of terror was pretty fun. My parents got to come down with us to which was fun and a big help wrangling the kids. And Also Reid got to come and had a really fun time! Yea for Disneyland! Love it! just like Berkley cant wait to go back : )

wanted to post some things about the kiddos. Berks having her first ever class valentine party tommorow. we just sat down and wrote everyones names on them. those cards are too small for 4 yr olds to write names like Savannah, it dosn't help that her name is Berkley. too long. it was cute to see her decide who should get which card : ) Shes also in a group called Tavaci. Its a singin/dancing class and loves it! everyday she asks if its tuesday so she can go to Tavaci!

Monroe is growing so fast! after 2 weeks of her freakin out at bedtime we let her sleep with Berkley which solved the problem so we moved another twin into Berks room and they share now. They both really enjoy it. she talkin up a storm now and joins in when Berk has her daily concerts for me. Her favorite songs to sing for us are rock a bye dont you cry, and jingle bell rock. shes still my little snuggler and likes to grab my leg when im walking. whenver we eat she scoots a seat at a time till shes on by lap and says " im a sit by you"-so cute. shes back to liking nursery which is good. She initiall had a rough time when she moved into the other class in january.
Both girls are so excited to go see Minnie & Mickey Mouse at Disneyland, and Grandma and Grandpa. Monroe calls them Missy Mouse. I know there gonna love it and cant wait.

New Years 2011

New years was a few weeks back I know but I had to post these so next year as a family we could look back on them. We stayed home and played games watched movies and ate. Monroe went to bed at the normal time and Berk stayed up a little later and couted down for east coast new years. it was funny cause we couldn't find the ball drop on any channel except the spanish channel. so we counted down in spanish! thank goodness for Dora! then berk did the whole pots n pans lids outside yelling happy New year at 9pm! it was great. then we put her to bed and watched amovie and watched the ball drop again, in English : ) Happy New Year!

The countdown is definately on and I kinda want it to slow down! I really want it to slow down. Most of the fun of christmas is the build up! We've been having alot of fun time together as a family and with friends. Last friday we went to a play that another

church puts on annually of the nativity.Its outdoors and they have the soldiers on horses and camels and donkeys and sheep, and an angel in the sky. it was really cool. The girls have had lots of chances to see santa, at the mall, ward party, and Berkleys pre-school christmas program he made an appearance. ***warning this next part gets a little braggy but its my blog so get over it**Berkley did a great job at her program and I cant upload the main part of the program cause its about 15 minutess and its just not working on youtube but Ive posted the first part above above this post.At the end of the last few songs they did seh would curtsy and look all serious, it was funny! She also had a part in the program at church today. The primary kids sang the Nativity song and she sang a part with some other older girls. She totally took over and sang loud and clear in the microphone! It was really cute! shes such a little performer Its cute. Another fun Christmas activity we've been up to besides eating too many sweets (thankyou awesome neighbors) is the Elf on the Shelf. I had never heard about this till last year and Bretts mom got it for the girls. Its alot of fun , the girls love it! the Elf shows up after Thanksgiving witha book explaingin how it works. He/she shows up every morning in a different spot and the kids have to find her. Then the Elf watches the kids and flies home to Santa to tell him if they've been naughty or nice- super cute. The hard part is remembering to hide it somewhere new every morning. There has been a few mornings we have had to distract Berk while one of us runs down stairs to hide her. Well this is long enough and who are we kidding, noone looks on this for the text, just the pictures, so MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

its been a busy few weeks with thanksgiving and christmas prep. heres a few pix from it. It snowed the week of thanksgiving and melted awy and was warmer this week. but then snowed again today, barely. We've had more snow in the past month than in the 2 years we've lived here. I think its raining now so who knows if we'll have a white christmas. We've seen Santa 3times already. the last time Monroe actually sat on his lasp which was cool. Berkleys excited for her christmas program for pre-school this week and Im probably more excited for her. she has her part down. I love christmas time and everything that goes with it! and having kids makes it awesome! We I was getting ready this morning I heard Berk singing really loud along with a Christmas Cd that grandma Turner gave her a few years bak so I went in to spy and it was so stinkin cute i had to video. she had the book with the words pretending to read. Im gonna try and post the videos of it but I always struggle posting videos. outta time! Merry Chirstmas!!!!

new fresh and so clean clean! ( It says BATH on the wall that you can half see- I actually just typed it on word and printed that out, cut and gluesticked-yeah thats a real word- it on some canvas squares I had)

So I was getting sick of tan,brown everywhere and decided to paint the girls bathroom. I think blues greys and greens are always a good pick for bathrooms so I went with a light blue called Abracadabra. I really like it and cant wait to finish it up with some hardware on the doors and drawers and hopefully frame out the mirror. I usually only post about the kids but I like seeing redo's on others peoples blogs so thought someone else might too. Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Halloween! last week Berkleys Pre-school had a fieldtrip to the pumpkin patch and Brett got to come with us! We had a fun time and learned that Berkley has a few boyfriends in the class. They were adorable wanting her to sit by them. One of their moms said that he comes home and tells her what Berkley wore to pre-school every time he goes- too cute. There was a cute petting zoo,hay ride,hay maze and tower. It was alot of fun. We went there last year too. more pictures later gotta go get Berk from her Princess party : ) dont you just want to be four?

It was supposed to be rainy that day hence the warm clothes but it ended up being sunny the whole time we were at the fair! it rained the second we got to my moms till we left but not while we were at the fair!

Berk started pre-school today and I haven't been emotional about it at all... until It was time for her to go and I was taking pictures of her with her backpack on- I lost it! Her response was "Why are you crying?" and I said"Cause Im gonna miss you!" and she said "Its okay I can take care of myself and I'll tell you all about it when I get home" which made me cry even more! she was really excited to go in there. shes definalty not shy and was talking to the teachers assistant the second she walked in there telling her everything important like her name and how to spell it. Shes there right now and Im anxious to go get her! I love her so much! she told me I was her sweetheart before she left, but she really is mine! miss her love her, I know she'll have lots of fun and learn alot-

Also Monroe started Nursery Sunday, which I was nervous about cause shes alittle more...well not as easy to go to anyone but me. But she did great, plopped her in there and she found some toys and barely noticed me leaving! Im so greatful for that. My babies are growing up! dont know how I feel about that!

Summer has been fun and busy and a bit of a blur! I can't believe eveyone is going back to school already. they had the fair here last weekend but Im holdin out for the "real" fair in Puyallup in a couple weeks. Hope everyone had a fun summer! heres some pictures from August : )

Shes 4! well, her actual birthday isnt till the first but as far as shes concerned it was saturday. She had a fun Dora party with a few friends then after naptime (for monroe) We had pizza and icecream at the park with just our little family. Perfect Day, or if you ask her "the best day ever" (spongebob quote). They ate swiper the fox pb & j sandwiches- which they were a little weirded out by I think. then swiper took the candles and the pictures from the map to find the candles so we went on a scavenger hunt to find the clues. -threw water balloons at swiper and then found the candles and had cake. the hit of the party though of course- POPSICLES! I love it- they went crazy for popsicles! so heres the answers to her birthday interview

We had a reunion a few weeks ago that ended up at our house because the mountains where we were gonna go camping was too cold. Luckily it was great weather here and we were able to be outside in the warm sun! We missed my little brother Jake whose at college and Joel who is on the other side of the world currently! but other than that everyone was there : ) heres a few highlights!

so Berkleys Ballet recital was today. It was at a park that has a stage. it was fun and cute to see her up there. she loved it. they had a rehersal this morning and they went on stage and everything so she couldn't wait to go back tonight to go back on stage. Brett kept asking her if she was gonna shake her bum on stage and she'd say " Im only gonna follow what the teacher says" cute- glad she did. one part of there little act each girl goes in the middle of the stage and does a little spin and there was a hula hoop to help the little ones know where to go and one girl ( not berk) goes out and picks it up like shes gonna

start hula hoopin it up! pretty funny it was fun- I asked her if she wanted to do it again next year and she said yes, we'll see after summer...

BIRDS & BATS
There are bats, huge bats there its nuts and creepy their are also lots of beautiful birds there that make cool sounds. just parrots and cockatoos flying around (not sure if I spelled that right) and huge lizards all over! we saw one on a garbage bin gate at the zoo, and I thought it had escaped so I told someone and he was like 'oh no worries its just a whatever -I cant remember the name now- I was shocked. and crazy huge spiders. Also beautiful beaches, cool architecture in the city, and everyone was super friendly we had a great time and if you ever get the opportunity to go there take it! It was a blast but I definately missed my babies! Thanks a MILLION Mom for watching them for us!

Happy Birthday to my Baby! Monroe turned one yesterday. we had a little party with just us. we've kinda made that a tradition for just the first birthday to have it be just the family. It was fun to have Brett home for part of the day saturday. The weathers been so nice we played outside, had lunch opened presents and ate cake and ice cream. When I gave Monroe a bite of icecream she made the most disgusted face and pulled it our of her mouth and handed it to me, and gave me a look like 'why are you doing this to me?' I dont know where she got that from cause Ice cream is one of the main food groups to me. Im sure she'll learn to love it. She loved opening her presents, with of course alot of help from Berkley, and has had fun playing with them too. Happy happy birthday my baby!

Here is Berkley on her first day of Ballet. She started about a month ago and has alot of fun. its so cute and pretty funny to watch her.

All the kids favorite part of class is free dance at the end where they usually get to dance with wands. oh it brings me back....girls are so fun.

We had a fun time over Christmas and did lots of fun things. we got to go to slc and see the lights which I have never done before and would reccomend but just know it will be freeeeezing. And lots of Family. Thank you Shari and Brady for letting us stay with you and feeding us all that delicious food! We made lots of Christmas treats, gingerbread house, and ate wayyyy too much but thats ok thats what new years is for right. I got to see my sister (Marissa)and my cousin (leah)which was nice- I wish we could have stayed longer but life goes on. We've been pretty busy since we've returned. we're buying a house, kind of all of a sudden but its a great deal and PLENTY of space for us to grow in for a while. so we've been trying to get that going smoothly but it'll be crazy cause the family we are buying it from are moving into the house we are renting so moving day, whatever day that will be, WILL be crazy. But Im getting really excited about it. Berkley starts Dance the begining of Feb and shes so excited- We went wed to sign her up and she wanted to go into the class that was going on right then and was so sad that it wasn't that day. busy next couple weeks then hopefully things will chill out for a minute also we are going out of town the weekend we close, like the day after, for work. so again I say it will be crazy, but Im still excited for it all! heres some more pictures from my other camera from Christmas Break! Take my Son
A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art. When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.
About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.
He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.'
The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift..'
The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.
The man died a few months later.. There was to be a great auction of his paintings Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.
On the platform sat the painting of the son The auctioneer pounded his gavel. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?'
There was silence.
Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.'
But the auctioneer persisted. 'Will somebody bid for this painting. Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?'
Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandt's. Get on with the real bids!'
But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?'
Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting.' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.
'We have $10, who will bid $20?'
'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.'
'$10 is the bid, won't someone bid $20?'
The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son.
They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.
The auctioneer pounded the gavel. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!'
A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!'
The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.'
'What about the paintings?'
'I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.
The man who took the son gets everything!'
God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: 'The son, the son, who'll take the son?'
Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

so I just heard that song and got a little sentimental. this is for all the cousins out there! so on Christmas eve we have kind of a talent show with the whole fam and Ive only been gone one year, but the point is I just keep thinking of LEAH and TANNER singing that song and it was thee coolest! And I will miss the Christiansens singing malaka meke maka- whatever it is the hawaiian one! the Dicksons with all there musical instruments. And of course the one year I was gone when Shanni was Mary, I wish I could have been there! Just wanted to Give Thanks for all my many blessings starting with my little Family,

Monroe is growing up so fast! shes already wearing Berkleys clothes from when she was 12 months. no shes not super blob, berkley was really petitte and still is. She'll be 9 months after thanksgiving. she can crawl backwards and has started to go forward, just a couple steps- not steps but you know what I mean. She is a talker. and not a quiet talker and loud talker. She'll say mama and dada.and just has the sweetest smile and little laugh! shes my little snuggle bug- I love it! And she thinks Berkley is thee funniest person in the world! so darn cute!

Berkley really is little miss sunshine. She's so funny, she does this thing where she'll lip sync to music and its pretty hilarious she'll put one arm on her stomach and one arm out and shake her head like shes singing opera. its pretty cute. And she loves to dance! I can't wait for her to start dance in January. this is a picture actually of her with one of her ballet costumes over her clothes of course. I love this stage shes in right now. Its the all the things you think of when you think of a little girl, dolly's and tea parties and dress up! Shes a sweetheart too she gives compliments like nobody Ive ever met. its so nice to hear 'mom I like your haircut' thats a daily one. or I like your pretty bracelet- or whatever. Shes such a great example to me of how I should be, except for the kissing little boys thing! (I think we got it under control) two cute things she says lately "I am beautiful" and "I made this for you" its funny cause she says it about things that she didn't make like toys. I think she thinks it means Im giving this to you. I dont know!
Brett I love you! Thank you for all you do for us! all your long hours at work. And all the time you find to play with the girls and spend with me! I apreciate it so much and I know you've gotta be exhausted. We are all so excited when you get home and look forward to it everyday. Disney on Ice & Halloween

So we went to Disney on Ice last Thursday and Berkley was mesmorized and just loved it. Im so glad we went. I took about 4 pictures at the begining then my camera died of course. Shes still talking about "Disney on Ice" and Tinky bell. Yesterday she asked if she could call Tinky bell and I said "I dont know her number' and she said " oh, its 4!" so I said I think she's busy right now. I didn't know how to get out of that one. and yes I know its tinkerbell. I highly reccomend going if its in your area.

Halloween was fun Trick or treating. Berkley lost her cat ears somewhere in the neighborhood and Halloween night I actually forgot to draw her whiskers and nose on her! and she had her coat on all night. so the last few houses she just had a tail that was turned around, cause she had to show every door her tail. people where probably thinking she was pretty ghetto. but we went to a trunk or treat a few weeks ago and Friday we went to a thing at Walmart were the kids dressed up and got candy so she was a full on black cat then! so judge if you will! jk. after we went trick or treating. we got home and brett dumped all the candy on the tabe and began to sort. I thought I was having a flashback. i guess someone needs to teach her thats what you do! hope everyone had a fun halloween

been a while. My little brother came home last week from his mission in NC so me and the girls went and stayed at my parents house. He's not so little anymore! cant believe it I feel so old! It was alot of fun to see him and my other siblings. And Im excited to see them on thanksgiving with Brett too.

We went to the zoo with all the cousins which was fun and on Saturday we went on a Breast Cancer walk with the girls and my Dad and Jake. It was fun. Its been 5 years since my mom finished chemo- woohoo! Cancer is lame! October is Breast Cancer awareness month so buy pink!

We are getting excited for Halloween. i love any and every holiday. Being the mom is the best cause you can totally get into everything and nobody thinks your a weirdo. I can have a halloween countdown and play dress up in july! yestereday while dad was away I had a little photoshoot with the girls. I think Berk is going to be a black cat. Its gone from her wanting to be a doggy, to a camel, to bad guy, to finally fingers crossed a kitty --not just any kitty though, she said these exact words "I want to be a kitty with a red nose like a reindeer" duh-anyway... here are some pictures of the kiddos

Oh my little Brother Jake is coming home in 21 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! woo hoo! Im so excited and I just cant hide it! He is the baby and has been on a mission over in Raleigh NC for the past 2 years and has not seen any of my in laws...yet...and I dont think its gonna happen. We are so proud of him and cant wait to see him. Berkley's been asking about uncle Jake since July. I dont think she actually remebers him but she definatley knows him from pictures. There are 2 new babies since He's been gone (Monroe & Kenzie) and one on the way--not mine

6 months & Tea Parties

Monroe is 6 months as of the 6th. Her first tooth broke through the weekend she turned 6 months. Shes a happy baby and sleeping alot better since that tooth came through. She loves Berkley and Berkley loves her. I dont know who has more fun together cause they make each other laugh alot!

Her favorite toy right now, flowers that light up, play music and have different textured petals. shes growing so fast!

so last week sometime we went to Goodwill cause I wanted to find some little teacups and plates for Berkley to play tea party with and I found these clear cups and little pitcher (which Im guessing is probably for alcohol but works good for this purpose) and She loves to play Tea party with them. I also got some mini goblets there for her. so we steralized them all and she loves it. she just pours water in the cups and from the cups into the other cups. Keeps her busy forever! little messing but not that bad. I just keep a towel in on her little table in her room. And its all carpet so its not gonna break.

weekend before last we went to a ward campout. we were a little nervous because our last campout with Berkley noone slept, but it went really well. We all slept and had a fun time with the ward. thats Berk with her little friend Sarah from nursery

so this last weekend (labor day) we decided to go up to Leavenworth, bavarian town about 3 hours north of us. And on the way we stopped at s few places, first the Appletts & Cotlets Factory where we got a tour of the factory. Not quite as big as I remember from when I was a kid. but it was still fun. it was funny cause they said even Monroe had to wear a hair net. really? I can see Berkley needing one for sure but really? We were all pretty stylin

We also stopped at this really cute petting zoo/ mercantile/fruit stand on the way. it was awesome. they give you a bag of feed and some corn huks for the animals. Berkley didn't want to leave but it started to pour down rain so we had to go.

so its that time of year again when the fairs come to town. Although every town we've lived in has had a fair, none have compared to my home town Puyallup fair. Although we do always have a fun time. Only people from Puyallup will understand what Im talking about. Anyway we wet today and it was fun! we (me & the girls) went with my friend and her kids(thats cute little Cooper in the pic, Berk loves him). We saw the animals, got some fair food, (so greasy but so delicious) got some free prizes. good time had by all. So they were giving out cowboy hats to the kids and surprisingly berk wore hers the rest of the time there.

August 20th 2004-Brett and I became a family. I just wanted to say Im so grateful and lucky to have him for my family. He turned out even better than I expected. We knew each other almost a year from the time we met till the time we got married which is long compared to alot of you, but looking back I feel like I hardly even knew him then, although I was crazy about him, I am so lucky at who I chose! Its been a while, last week we got a computer virus and I had a root canal- I know what are the odds. but heres some of whats been going on...
so monroe started baby food about a week ago and loves it! its funny how different she is compared to Berkley as a baby. berkley and her are laughing and playing together more. Its cute how much Monroe lights up whenever Berkley comes around.

This beautiful quilt is made by a Turner family friend and I just love it! its the cutest fabric and perfect size for tummy time. I love the vintage girlie look! not to mention the cute baby on top of it!

Last weekend was the water follies aka the hydroplane races. it was pretty cool to see since Id never seen one before but it was super de duper hot so we didn't stay the whole time (brett did 4 work) Berkley got her face painted there and I tried really hard to convince her to get a pretty butterfly or sparkly flowers like the other girls but she was dead set on being a puppy! actually turned out pretty cute. She was really proud of it and could wait to show daddy!

Also Our friends from Rexburg where in town visiting there parents and we got to hang out with them a couple of times. I thought I got more pictures, apparently not. But its was good to see you Mitch & Cassie and cutie pie Hallie! good luck with the rest of school! We hope you guys move back here or close to it

so those are the highlights. theres been alot of swimming and popsicles too. I love summer!!! Im glad we are here. Also looks like Grandma & Grandpa Turner are moving out west. We are so excited to be closer!

So we went over to visit some good friends from college over the 4th and had a really good time. Thanks Brooke & Jeremy for letting us crash your party! Berkleys been missing you guys and Mimi (there cute dog) since we left! we had such a good time with them and there family. IM glad we were there for the 90 degree weather instead of staying here for the 100 degfree weekend! Brett is always amazed at how crazy the fireworks are out west. apparantly in NC you can't have anything that cool it was a fun weekend full of simming, pig roast bbq, and in your face fireworks! the 4th is right up there with Christmas for the funnest holidays. funnest's a word right? should be. hope everyone else had a fun time as well!

American Family Insurance....

So brett moved into his new office yesterday! Im really excited for him. Hes doing a great job and working really hard. for those of you wondering, hes been in the district office the first six months but now his staff and him have there own place, yea! its just down from the temple if anyones ever in the area. so if you want a good insurance agent whos gonna save you $ go to the Brett Turner Agency. Now theres 4 L shaped desks in there and his office is that window on the right behind them. I took the picture of the inside last weekend before we had keys so thats why theres a weird camera glare. his name & hours and everything are getting put on the door today I think.

baby... Shes known by many names around here and has many names for others. If she dosn't know you she calls you friend "Hey friends!" is what she yells to everyone she sees. if she knows you she loves you and tells you, even if you just mow our lawn. She loves to dance and sing and play with her daddy. she talks about her grandparents and cousins all the time and asks when there gonna "come to my house and bisit (visit)" she loves her "buddies" Ava & Cooper.

Although she dosn't officialy turn 3 for a little while we had a little princess party yesterday. she was so excited from the moment she got up for her party. she had a fun time with all her little friends. Later we went to this kids concert in the park with "wiggle like a fish" then watched Shark Tale outside at the park. Berkley had a fun birthday and so did we. If you ask her old she is she'll tell you shes 3 and a W. yes the letter W (duh, when you hold up 3 fingers it looks like a w) love it. So much has happened since last post. I never posted pictures of my bday- I turned the big 25 on may 25th. My parents watched the girls for us on my birthday which was also memorial day and we went to seattle. it was fun to have some time just us but the whole time at the aquarium we were saying how much Berkley would have loved it. She loves everything but especially sponge bob. and we saw a whole bunch of patrick's which you could pet (starfish). anyway we had a good time in seattle then a bbq at my parents house that night with the fam. I even got to see some cousins I dont get to see very often.

First I just want to say we are not building or buying a home anytime soon. We still have to sell our house in Moscow before we even think about it. That said. I do like to look around in different areas so that when the time comes we can be really sure where we want to buy. So the other day I found this hidden neighborhood with gorgeous homes right on the river. are there are alot of different ares with homes on the river but this development of about 8 homes was next to an orchard away from everything and had a gradual slop to the slow river with big beautiful trees lining it. Gorgeous empty lot in between 2 houses. Basically my dream lot. now across the street (not next to the river but close) was another cult de sac that had no houses built yet but one empty lot for around$69 or $75,000- cant remember) so Obviuosly the one by the river is gonna be more. so Im thinking maybe $100-150,000- oh no. I called today just out of curiosity to see home much, hold on to your seat--- $535,000!!!! thats without a house! NUTSO CRAZY! So now aim trying to wipe the dream of living on the river from my mind! I guess our zebra blow up pool is gonna have to do!

So some of you might know that Berkley had surgery on her arm this last wednesday. She had a bump that noone knew what is was and they wanted to remove it and test it. anyway the surgery went really well and she's recovered in lightning speed. so we will find out this week if it was anything bad or not. The surgeon was very optomistic because of its location that it wont be anything harmful but better safe than sorry. That said here some pictures of what we've been up to lately

So the above pictures are from a photo shoot I tried to do with Monroe- not the top one thats just a random one I thought she looked super cute in. I took both the girls to go get real pictures taken yesterday and they did really good! I was surprised. We dont get them till bretts birthday, Im really excited to get them. last weekend we went to Chuck E Cheese, where a kid can be a kid, we got a coupon in the mail for a pizza, pops and like 60 coins for $19- steal of a deal. Berkley had a good time. I think Brett had more fun with the games and she had more fun pullling out the tickets. sad thing though- I guess none of the Chuck E Cheeses have the ball pit anymore. I guess someone died or something- how horrible! I hadn't been there since... I dont even know but I remeber everything seeming alot bigger! I must have been pretty little last time I went. Anyway it was a big hit and we'll have to go back!

And I hope noone was confused on the last post I didn't mean to imply that the labor was easy---definately not! it was just fast once I was at the hospital. I was trying to last as long as possible at home befroe I went in. I had 3 contractions on the way to the hospital which is only about 7 minutes away, So I think if I would have waited any longer we would have had the baby in the car! anyway. enough about that here are some more pictures of our little "sweetheart"! So Brett had a booth at the Home & Garden show for his agency so that meant we got to go for free. Theres was my dream Playhouse, if I was 7 still. and alot of other cool stuff to look at including the shammy wow guy (you know the super absorbent towels with the spokesperson that has the Britney Spears headset) and also the steam vac which I almost buy everytime I see it. Berk decorated her own little bob the builder hat and I was so exhausted by the time we got home! so heres some pix of that

So Im 35 weeks and counting and Im really excited and anxious for this baby girl to come! So fingers crossed she'll come earlier than Berkley did. cause Im done. not only am I sick of being fat I am really excited to meet our new little girl. Im nervous that Its actually a boy and that I will be completely unprepared. But as long as its a girl, we are good to go. we have a name. Noone knows but Brett and I so dont even ask. and Berk and her will share a room once shes big enough to go in a crib. We're also excited for family to come visit us and the new baby. I know I need to enjoy having just one while it last, but Im ready. that said I cut a couple inches off berkleys hair and gave her bangs. Bretts still not use to it but I love it,hence the random pictures. happy valentines this next weekend!

Okay its the barbies' new house. My Dad actually made it and I decorated it for Berkley for Christmas.

Heres the Kitchen. It was alot of fun to decorate and kept me busy while Brett had all his training.

Theres this Gymnastics gym that has like open play time twice a week. We went a few weeks ago with a friends and her daughters and it was like the happiest place on Earth for Berkley! My camera ran out of Batteries after I took 2 pix though. but, you can imagine!

So we've been doing alot of exploring the past week since the house is pretty well un-packed and we've found some cool places to play, thanks to the help of the locals. We've found a few libraries (no pictures of that-I know your heart broken) a childrens museum which is more of a big place to play - dont know why its called that, and the playground of dreams (actual name). the park-playground of dreams was way cool and is right next to the river and a fishing pond on the other side. We went there yesterday since it was so nice and it was a chore to get Berk to leave. so heres some pictures of what we've been up to, one reason is to entice others to also come and live here in this random place that we are really starting to love.

Since we've moved to our new house berkleys been really excited about Berkleys room. Whenever Daddy comes home she wants to show him Berkies room. Same with when Mana and Peepah (Grandma&Grandpa Dickson) came to visit. so my mom sent her these letters and circles to decorate her new room with. She had so much fun putting them on the door and spelling out her name. towards the end of decorating she pulled on the of the stickers of the door and stuck it on her nose and said "Rudolph!"- he is one of her favorites lately and thinks she sees him all the time!

so we are moved into our new house and feel pretty settled besides the fact that we now probably 3 people. We like that its not as crazy cold and snowy as it was in Moscow, and that we are closer to family (3 1/2 hours). Bretts work is only one exit away going west and Walmart is only one exit away going east, so we are in a good location for the things we regulary need. One issue we've been having is stupid Itunes. so let me know if anyone else has had this problem. We got our computer set up and I downloaded some music and then I went to sync it to my ipod and it said I needed to download a new version of I-tunes to use it. So long story short, everything is deleted and no one at apple or microsoft can help me with anything. soooooo annnoyed. all I want is my old version back! I dont even care about the updates! but it wouldn't even let me click on anything and yeah, anyway past 2 days Ive seriously talked for hours with tech support. Oh and dont worry, theres no tech support specifically for itunes- I mean theres no phone # for them or e-mail. just the ipod people who dont know how to help me apparently. Enough ranting and raving. We're here, no snow, our house is rented out, I can't complain.

We've done alot since the last post I just have been lazy with the blogging. Bretts still in training and we get to see him every once in a while. We miss him alot and can't wait to see him next saturday! We had a great thanksgiving with my parents & grandparents (no pix of that) and then got our tree the next day at the red barn tree farm. We go there every year. they have a train that you ride to go get your tree, then it picks you back up.

We just got back from Leavenworth (A german town in the mountains) they had a big christmas thing going on and Berkley loved all the people dressed up. She didn't want to leave there sight.

Santa, Saint Nicholas, and Father Christmas came into the town square on a carriage. Oh and yes they are 3 different people. I didn't know either until yesterday!

Its been a while! So we went to the park the other day to feed the ducks with my uncle Reid who lives with us. We to this park that I use to think had swans when I was little. We've been going to this park forever but I wont go again! WE totally got attacked by the Geese(formally known as swans) they chased us away from the pond! It was crazy I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. I tried to throw bread to them but they kept charging us!!! INSANE!!!

So we made it to Washington. For those of you who dont know we are tryinh to sell our home because Brett is opeing up a Insurance Agency for American Family Insurance in Tri-Cites Washington. So Im over at my parents house while he does training over here for the next 2 months. So we got here Saturday so that we could go to my Grandpas 78th Birthday party. His birthday is on Halloween so it was a big Halloween party. We had alot of fun and Im so glad we made it in time there were alot of fun costumes and mine was definately not one of them. Every year I try to think of something so cool and then when it comes down to it it just never happens.

Im excited to dress Berkley up again on friday and take her out trick or treating. Brett should be here by then and we cant wait to see him! We went to the Horse Museum today. I know sounds exciting but its actually a pretty cute little museum that has a cool kids area with all kinds of things to play with and did I mention its free. She didn't want to dress up this time but usually she puts on the cowboy boots, hat scarf and leather vest.

Besides the museum we got her some fake food to go with her plates and cups and she will play with that forever. She still can't reach the pedals on her bike but that dosn't keep her from playing with all the buttons. We did go up to Spokane last weekend for a few different things and Berk and I got to go shopping and to the pet store while Brett was getting things done. I think Berkley would have been fine staying there ALL day she wasn't too happy with me when we had to go. She LOVES animals. I want to get her a pet sometime but its probably gonna a be a while since its kind of crazy right now with moving and the new baby coming. Brett is done with all his tests, and we get to find out if its a boy or a girl on the 21st!! so thats whats up with the Turners!

So its not the Puyallup Fair but I wish it was. Does that count? For those of you not from Western Washington, Puyallup is where Im from and has the coolest fair in the universe. But we did go to the Latah County Fair! And although it is quite a bit smaller and they dont have scones we did have there. Berkley loved the animals, the one ride she was big enough for(fun house), and especially the CLOWN! And the fish prize she won.

Anniversary & Ultrasound

Four years! wahooo! we had a great anniversary. we went to this awesome French restaurant and had an 8 course meal. it took around 3 hours to do it and it was a little spendy but it was so much fun and we'll probably never have a chance to do something like that again. some of the things we had were, escargot (snails), roasted duckling(sooodelicious), lavendar creme brulee(my fav), every kind of cheese, filet mignone, truffles, and so much more. so fun and a one of the few times Berkleys ever had a babysitter. I think she did pretty good though she just watched Pinnochio twice- her favorite.

Then last week we got to see the baby. Brett & Berkley came and when the doctor turned off the lights to see the ultrsound and it was all quiet, Berkley yelled out "Boo!" it was pretty funny. It took me a minute to stop laughing which made it impossible to see the baby for a minute cause my stomach was going crazy. But we did see him/her it was really cool it had its hands up to its mouth and one point we saw it straight on which reminded me of berkleys ultrasounds.i dont have my official ultrasound to tell the sex until week 22 but my doctor has an ultrasound machine in his office and said we can do one whenever we want so thats good. considering we're moving at 21 weeks. so thats the news for us! have a fun Labor Day weekend!

End of Summer

Even though noone in our family is going to school It almost like the day school started here it turned into fall. the leaves are starting to change, its a little cooler (even though its supposed to warm up for the weekend yea for labor day!) We had a fun summer and here is what the past few weeks consisted of first a visit from my good friend Molly who was on her way to school in Wyoming near the Tetons. Although I had morning sickness for a few hours saturday we did end up going to Kamiake butte whick was fun. it was good to see her and Berkley loved her!

the following week my parents came. also sick that week but I was glad to have them come visit and hope they weren't completly bored. we did go out to eat alot and my Dad & Brett went shooting. We also went around Pullman since they lived there for a few years going to WSU. It was a good time for them to get to know Berkley since she was the only grandchild not living within 15 minuted of there house.

(everytime Berkley sees that pictures she pionts to herself and says "sleeping" cause her eyes are closed, its pretty funny)

Then we rode back with them for a family reuinion at Alder Lake. It was really fun. We used to go to this lake on the fourth growing up. we were there all day and had some good food and got to visit with the whole family- except uncle Jake- hes on a mission.

so we've had a fun summer and honestly, Im excited for fall! I love when the seasons change even though I waited for summer for a long time. hope you all had a good one too!

We are so excited for Berkley to be a big sister. Im almost 11 weeks along. I'll try and get one of those ultrasound looking graphics up soon for those who are interested. So Im due March 14th, gonna have a little spring baby. Ive been alot sicker with this pregancy which is making me think its a boy but who knows, its probably quadruplets- I WOULD DIE! So any morning, noon, and night, sickness remedies would be appreciated cause its getting ridiculous . Im starting to doubt that its just gonna stop at 12 weeks (a week away) but keep your fingers crossed. And just so you know I will NOT be posting pictures of my growing belly. Unlike some people(Everyone in my family) I get fat ALL over! So thats the big news from the Turners, hopefully we'll find out what were having by Halloween.

On the road again

So we went camping last weekend at Boyer park in WA. It wsa pretty fun. It was our first campout since Berkley was born. she loved the tent, fire,and the water. It was like we were playing keep away from the fire all night. We had hot dogs and s'mores and it watched a movie in the tent. We were a little unsure about going camping with her but figure its now or never. She did pretty good she just didn't want to go to sleep.She kept getting up and looking out the window and rolling over all the sleeping bags wich was cool...Its been a long time and Im glad we went! dont have any real camp pictures cause my camera died right after she got in the water. but you can imagine!

Berkleys Birthday!

So Berkley turned 2 on July 1st! I cant believe I have a 2 year old! somethings that have changed since her last birthday... She calls Brett Dad instead of Brett.... She started calling me Emily a few days ago....Shes crazier than ever (Very high energy)....Shes talking alot more.... knows her colors & most of her letters....Her hairs grown about a foot....Alot more snuggly....Still alot of fun and keeps us very busy.

I was at my parents house for about 10 days and we were there for Berkleys birthday so we had a party there with her girl cousins and some of my cousins little girls. Its was all butterflies and she had a good time.

Unfortanatly Brett couldn't come but we got her a little dora bike when we got back and she loves it, cant reach the pedals yet but she likes the buttons.

Thanks to everyone who came to her birthday and those her sent Berkley cards and prizes! I cant believe how fast they grow!
